Three Robbery Suspects Confess to Murder, Decomposed Body Recovered

Three suspects who were arrested for a robbery by the Khadki police in Pune have confessed to their involvement in the murder of a 24-year-old man. The victim, Stanley Mari of Khadakwasla, was reported missing before his decomposed body was recovered from a hillock in Kamshet on Thursday. The suspects, identified as Devendra alias Chakor Umakant Pille, Yogesh alias Lalya Baban Jadhav, and Daniel Robert Amanna, all from Khadki, have also been detained for their involvement in the murder.

According to senior inspector Vilas Gavli of the Khadki police station, Pille had a relationship with Mari's wife before her marriage. When Mari learned about the relationship, he started harassing her. When Pille heard about this, he hatched a plan to eliminate Mari. On April 23, Pille called Mari for some work and took him to Kamshet along with his accomplices. On reaching Kamshet, they had beer and later killed him.

The police team, led by assistant inspector Shriram Poul, had arrested the suspects over the suspicion of their involvement in a robbery. During the interrogation, Pille revealed the murder. The police have also detained their minor accomplice for his involvement in the murder. The suspects will be charged with murder and robbery, and the case will be transferred to the Kamshet police station.
