Crime Patrol: 4 junkies held for Wadala boy’s sexual assault, murder (Episode 666, 667 on 4th, 5th June, 2016)

Four accused arrested for sexually assaulting and murdering a 7-year-old boy under Eastern Freeway

The Mumbai police arrested four drug addicts who allegedly kidnapped a seven-year-old boy, sexually assaulted him, and hid his body under the Eastern Freeway near Bhakti Park in Wadala. The police used four beer bottles found near the boy's skeleton to track down the accused after three months of investigation. Krishna Yadav (22), Tausif Shaikh (24), Ali Sadaf (22), and Sheru (24) were arrested on Saturday and remanded to police custody.

The accused had kidnapped the boy by luring him with chikki and then hitting him on the head with a blunt object on October 13, 2015. The crime went unnoticed until December 24, 2015, when a cable operator's employee discovered the skeleton under the Freeway and informed the police. The accused have reportedly confessed to their crime, and two of them admitted to sexually assaulting the boy.

The police had kept a watch on wine shops in Wadala and Antop Hill and questioned nearly 150 locals before zeroing in on one of the accused. During interrogation, the accused led the cops to the three others involved in the crime. The police have filed a case of kidnapping and murder against the accused, who have a history of drug addiction and petty crimes.
