Child Kidnapped and Killed by Family Members

Amritsar, India - A 10-year-old child, Sushant Arora, was kidnapped and killed by his own relatives, including a woman. The police have arrested five out of the six accused in the case and recovered the child's body from a canal near Khalra. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs. One crore but later asked for at least Rs. 50 lakh to release the child, who was already dead.

The child had gone missing on June 11th while playing cricket with his friends near his residence in Gali Telian. The family informed the police two days later, but the kidnappers had already killed the child on the day of the kidnapping. The kidnappers continued to demand ransom and threaten the family even after killing the child.

The police have arrested Harpreet Happy, Gagandeep Singhy, Sukhchain Singh, Palwinder Singh, and Sarabjit Kaur, while one accused, Prince, is said to be absconding. The incident has shocked the community, and a pall of gloom has descended on the holy city, especially the area where the unfortunate family lives. The police have urged people to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to prevent such incidents in the future.
