Police Constable arrested as mastermind in series of crimes including murder

Four people, including a police constable, have been arrested for their involvement in a series of crimes, including murder and firing across the steel city of Jamshedpur. The constable, Anjan Kumar Shukla, was the mastermind behind these crimes and has been labelled a psychopathic killer. The other three arrested were identified as Mangal Tiwary, Manish Pandey, and Kanhaiya Jha.

The police have recovered three firearms, including two pistols of 7.65 range, a huge quantity of ammunition, one sim card, one cell-phone and two stolen bikes from their possession. According to the investigation, the constable started committing crimes after he was suspended in October 2013 and continued with the crimes even after he was reinstated in the police department in May this year.

The shooting incidents on the executives started last year with Tata Steel manager Vipul Kumar being shot and critically injured. After which followed TML Drivelines executive Brajesh Sahay, who was shot dead, and equipment maintenance department executive Ratnesh Raj, who was shot and injured. This arrest is a big achievement for the police, and the officers involved will be felicitated.
