Four Arrested in Delhi for Child Trafficking, Eight Minor Girls Rescued

New Delhi, India: The Delhi police have arrested four people, including a woman, for child trafficking and rescued eight minor girls. The accused trafficked girls from Assam, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh and employed them as domestic help in Delhi through their placement agencies in JJ Colony in Shakurpur.

The girls were being detained and their earnings were being withheld by the accused. The rescued girls belonged to Assam, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. A case under the Juvenile Justice Act and Indian Penal Code was registered. The police are trying to contact the family members of the rescued girls.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Railways) Sanjay Kumar Jain stated that the accused were involved in trafficking minor girls and placing them as domestic help in Delhi. The police conducted raids on their placement agencies and arrested Ravinder Yadav, Pradeep Toppo, Vimal Kerketta, and Babita, all residents of JJ Colony in Shakurpur in west Delhi.

    Feel so sad to hear these stories... This shows only education doesn't change things but the way we are educated matter. These kind of people should be punished. I feel so bad about these girl :(

    The punishment for these is not sufficient. Atleast crime patrol should show the real faces of the family, that they will not be able to show the face to society. Y no one is showing the real face of family. The reason is only they belong from high society and status... the question is from crime patrol aslo?
