Man Gets Wife Killed for Sister-in-Law

Vinod Kumar got his wife killed as he was madly in love with his sister-in-law. He lodged a complaint in Barkagaon police station that his wife was killed by road robbers who also looted Rs 12,000 from her purse. Suspecting Vinod's involvement, SP Akhilesh Kumar Jha ordered Barkagaon Inspector Awadhesh Singh to keep an eye on him. After interrogating him and collecting evidence, it was revealed that Vinod was in love with his sister-in-law for four years and wanted to get rid of his wife. He hired Rajkumar Oraon, Bandhan Oraon, Jeevan Toppo, and Baleshwar Ganjhu to kill his wife. They accepted the crime and were arrested.

Vinod planned to go for a picnic with his wife on January 1, 2016, and while returning in the evening, he laid an ambush in the Moitra Valley. The accused killed Kiran in the valley and looted Rs 12,000 from her purse. Vinod had also taken a life insurance policy of Rs 7.5 lakh in the name of his wife and wanted to claim it after her murder.

Vinod gave an advance of Rs 50,000 to the accused and fixed the deal for Rs 62,000. His wife came to know about his love affair and opposed him. Fed up with this, Vinod decided to get her killed. He was arrested along with the four accused, and the investigation took 25 days to solve the case.
