Shaitaan: Alwar MP claims ignorance over sex racket injecting girls with oxytocin (Episode 36 on 5th May 2013)

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has issued a notice to the Rajasthan Police after a sex syndicate pushing young girls into the flesh trade by injecting them with oxytocin was exposed. The police have ordered an inquiry into the matter.

The racket has been operating in two villages, Girwas and Sodawas, where girls aged between 7 and 8 years, kidnapped from across the country, are sheltered in different houses and then sold as prostitutes. The former NCW chairperson, Poornima Advani, has demanded strict action against the culprits and suggested that the National Human Rights Commission and NCW must form a joint team to investigate the matter. Dr Wali, a senior professor of medicine at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, has described the behaviour of the locals involved in the racket as abnormal and perverted, and has suggested that they should be counselled and removed from the village. However, Alwar MP Jitendra Singh has feigned ignorance about the matter and said that he would comment once he gets more information.
